The much-anticipated pan-India film “45”, featuring powerhouse performers Shivaraj Kumar, Upendra, and Raj B Shetty, is gearing up for a grand theatrical release. Produced by Mrs. Uma Ramesh Reddy and M. Ramesh Reddy under the prestigious Suraj Production banner, this cinematic spectacle marks the directorial debut of renowned music composer Arjun Janya. The film’s teaser launch event was held with great fanfare in Hyderabad today, generating immense buzz among fans and industry insiders.
Producer M. Ramesh Reddy: A Unique Cinematic Experience
Speaking at the event, producer M. Ramesh Reddy expressed gratitude to everyone present and shared his excitement about the project. “We poured our hearts into creating 45, and we need your support to make it a success. This film introduces a concept never seen before in Indian cinema. It reflects the current societal context and incorporates elements of Sanatana Dharma. With all the ingredients to captivate audiences, 45 is set to leave a lasting impact. Stay tuned for more details at the trailer launch,” he said.
Director Arjun Janya: A Visionary Approach
Arjun Janya, stepping into the director’s chair for the first time, shared his journey of bringing 45 to life. “Working with Shivaraj Kumar, Upendra, and Raj B Shetty has been a joy. When I narrated the story to Shivaraj Kumar, he encouraged me to take on the director’s role, which gave me the confidence to helm this project. Shivaraj Kumar will be seen in a refreshing new avatar, and despite health challenges, he delivered an exceptional performance. Upendra’s versatility allows directors to explore endless possibilities, and he truly is a filmmaker’s filmmaker,” Janya said.
He also highlighted the innovative production process: “We visualized every aspect—CG, dialogues, and background score—before shooting. This approach ensured zero wastage and optimized the budget. I hope more filmmakers adopt this method. 45 blends commercial elements with a fresh screenplay, promising a unique cinematic experience.”
Upendra: A Creative Collaboration
The ever-charismatic Upendra spoke about his role and the creative process. “Director Arjun Janya has presented me in a completely new light in 45. When he visited me at home, I was dressed casually, and he decided to incorporate that look into my character. The film features a creatively reimagined dialogue from my iconic movie Om. Arjun, with his vast experience as a music composer for over 100 films, has brought his creative genius to direction. Working with Shivaraj Kumar again, after Om, is a delight. The story and our characters remain a suspense for now, but expect a mix of class, mass, and entertainment,” he shared.
Shivaraj Kumar: The Story is the Hero
Shivaraj Kumar, a stalwart of Indian cinema, spoke passionately about the project. “Arjun Janya narrated the story in just four to five minutes, and that’s how the title 45 was born. I convinced him to direct this film himself, as he was the best fit to do justice to the story. Working with Upendra, a highly talented artist who lives and breathes cinema, has been a learning experience. Though Raj B Shetty couldn’t attend today, all our roles in 45 are equally significant. The story is the true hero of this film, and it will resonate with audiences,” he said.
Reflecting on his personal challenges, he added, “During the final stages of shooting, I was diagnosed with cancer. Despite undergoing chemotherapy, I completed all my scenes without compromising. My team offered concessions, but I believe in giving my all. I’m also thrilled to be working with Ram Charan in another major project and will appear in Jailer 2 after the overwhelming response to my role in Jailer.”
A Stellar Cast and Crew
The film boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Shivaraj Kumar, Upendra, Raj B Shetty, and others. The technical team is equally impressive, with Arjun Janya handling the story, music, and direction. Satya Hegde leads cinematography, KM Prakash takes charge of editing, Anil Kumar pens the dialogues, and Mohan Pandit oversees art direction. The film is backed by Suraj Production, with Veerababu handling PR.
Why “45” is a Must-Watch
With its unique storyline, stellar performances, and innovative production techniques, 45 promises to be a groundbreaking addition to Indian cinema. The film’s focus on Sanatana Dharma, combined with a blend of commercial elements, ensures it will appeal to a wide audience.
