Points:

  1. Shreya Saran Role
  2. Prabhas Voice and RANA Cameo
  3. Manchu Manoj Acting
  4. Hanu-Man & Avengers Flavour

Story:

‘Mirai’ unfolds as an epic mytho-fantasy rooted in ancient legend and modern zeal. Following the devastating Kalinga war, Emperor Ashoka entrusts his nine powers within sacred scriptures protected across generations by chosen warriors.

In 2000, Mahabir Lama, also called Black Sword (Manchu Manoj), is hellbent on gathering all nine scriptures to gain immortality, plunging the world into peril after capturing eight.

The saga centers on Vedha Prajapathi (Teja Sajja), a carefree orphan from Hyderabad suddenly thrust into the heart of Ashoka’s legacy when the last scripture, Amaragrandham, comes into play. Guided by allies and his mother Ambika (Shriya Saran), Vedha faces the timeless battle: Can destiny and faith conquer evil? What is Mirai—just a book, or something infinitely greater?

Performances:

Teja Sajja shines in a witty youth role, but for determined warrior presence looks not matching.

Manchu Manoj delivers a fierce and memorable antagonist, his fiery gaze and potent dialogue making Mahabir a truly intimidating villain resemblance of Thanos but not used as much his as potential.

Shriya Saran surprises with emotional depth and presence, as her portrayal of Ambika forms the film’s emotional core, elevating key moments.

Ritika Nayak as Vibha brings charming grace, but her the character’s doesn’t have full potential which remains untapped.

Supporting performances from Getup Srinu, Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram, and others has passable not give much impact and Director Kishore Tummala and Venkatesh Maha are makes irritated and frustrated.

Highlights:

Visual & Technical Mastery: Mirai’s ₹25 crores budget delivers stunning VFX, dynamic production design, and expertly mounted action sequences that rival the mythic scale. Train fights, sword duels, and mythological flourishes—such as the divine Lord Sri Rama and Sampati bird sequences—make the experience truly cinematic.

Background Score & Cinematography: Gowra Hari’s electrifying score intensifies each moment some time feel Deja Vu of Hanu-Man or Ilayaraja Song (Takita Takita Tandana Song), while Karthik Gattamneni’s lens work conjures grandeur and intimacy. The VFX quality far exceeds expectations for the budget of Rs 25 Crores, solidifying the visual legacy.

Drawbacks

The film’s first half feels formulaic till Pre Interval which brisk pacing keeps it engaging and Second Half. The comedy track involving cameo policemen distracts from the otherwise tense narrative.

The lead heroine’s role—as Vibha—remains underdeveloped, with less impact in the later half.

The climax fails to meet the epic standard set by the rest of the film, resulting in a slightly subdued finale.

Technical Aspects

Remarkable technical scale: thunderous music, sharp editing, lavish production values, and immersive visuals keep the mythos grounded yet spectacular.

Writers blend mythology and modernity of Hanu-Man and Marvel Avengers Flavour for a screenplay that is tight and engaging at Pre Interval and Pre Climax Portion, though could have benefited from more complexity in the second half.

Verdict

‘Mirai’ is a grand and visually ambitious mytho-fantasy adventure anchored by commanding performances, especially by Shreya Saran and Manchu Manoj menacing as the villain.

Despite a predictable first half and a less-powerful climax, the film succeeds with imaginative sequences, high-octane action, and mythological grandeur. For fans of epic adventure, spiritual fantasy, and cinematic spectacle –

Mirai is a one time Watch Movie on the big screen, offering a vivid tapestry of legacy, sacrifice, and divine heroism, but not impact movie like Hanu-Man.
