Lady Super Star Vijayashanti unveiled the poster of the film Dakkan Sarkar at a special event held on Road No. 12, Banjara Hills.
The film is being produced by noted Telangana activist and acclaimed writer Kala Srinivas.
Vijayashanti, who is also a veteran actress, Telangana freedom fighter, and current Congress MLC, officially released the poster. Senior activist and Artists’ JAC President Muralidhar Deshpande, lead actor Chanakya, and co-star Mounika were also present.
Vijayashanti’s Remarks
Vijayashanti stated that a film made by a socially conscious writer and people’s artist like Kala Srinivas deserves to reach the masses.
She assured her personal support for its success and expressed confidence that, judging by the film’s updates so far, Dakkan Sarkar will be well received.
She revealed that the project involved the efforts of over 100 artists and 50 technicians.
Emphasizing the importance of such regional stories, she hoped that more films from Telangana would be made with government support.
Muralidhar Deshpande’s Comments
Deshpande praised the team for creating a film that reflects the true spirit and identity of Telangana. He urged the government to actively promote Telangana cinema and encourage local artists.
Kala Srinivas on the Film
Producer and director Kala Srinivas described Dakkan Sarkar as a realistic portrayal of people’s lives, built upon real-life incidents and crafted with authenticity.
He spoke about the challenges faced during the two years of production and expressed his pride that his favorite star Vijayashanti was endorsing the film. He thanked her, the guests, and the lead cast for their support.
Lead Actor Chanakya’s Experience
Chanakya shared that he worked hard to learn the accent, dialect, rural lifestyle, and expressions necessary for his role. Stressing that the film’s success is vital for the team, he asked for the public’s blessings and extended his gratitude to Vijayashanti, Kala Srinivas, Mounika, and Deshpande for their encouragement.
Actress Mounika’s Note
Mounika said she felt fortunate to be part of the project and thanked everyone involved.Around 40 artists from various districts attended the event.
