Mohan Vadlapatla and Jo Sharma’s Thriller ‘M4M’ Selected for Cannes Film Festival
Tollywood producer-turned-director Mohan Vadlapatla’s latest venture, M4M (Motive for Murder), has earned a prestigious spot at the renowned Cannes Film Festival.
The film is scheduled for a private screening on May 17 at 6:00 PM in the “PALAIS – C” theatre in Cannes. Known for his discerning taste as a producer, Vadlapatla steps into the director’s chair with this project, featuring acclaimed American actress Jo Sharma in the lead role. Even before its official release, M4M has garnered multiple international accolades and awards.
Recently, Jo Sharma attended the ‘Waves 2025’ event as an American delegate and actress, earning admiration alongside prominent Bollywood and Tollywood figures. To mark the occasion, the M4M team organized a press meet at IMPPA Preview Theatre in Mumbai.
Speaking at the event, Mohan Vadlapatla expressed, “Showcasing our film at Cannes is an incredible honor, and words can’t capture our joy. The entire team is thrilled and energized. We plan to release M4M soon in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.”
M4M is a gripping thriller centered around a murder mystery, crafted to keep audiences on edge. The teaser, already released, has received an overwhelming response. The film’s music and background score are poised to be standout elements. Adding intrigue, the team announced a reward of $1,000 or ₹1 lakh for anyone who correctly guesses the identity of the killer.
Mohan Vadlapatla has previously produced notable Tollywood films like Mallepuvvu, Mental Krishna, and Kalavaramaye Madilo. With M4M, he embraces his directorial debut, and the recognition at Cannes marks a significant milestone for the team’s creative journey.
