Analysis: Maidaan is a gripping movie with football matches and also engages with artist performances. Here we have to appreciate Ajay Devgn for making the movie more interesting with his brilliant national award-winning performance. After his latest movie, “Shaitaan,”  he shines in this movie too. Along with Ajay Devgn, Priya Mani and the rest of the artists also played significant roles in this movie. Cinematography is brilliant. BGM in the movie is excellent especially in second half.

Director Amit Sharma did brililant work with second half gripping screenplay, need to crisp in the first half overall he made movie watchable with his work. Movie is based on biopic of Hyderabadi Foot Ball Coach Syed Abdul Rahim but the movie makes you are watching as sports film rather than a biopic of Foot Ball Coach. Some may feel second half as “Chak De India” but it is different from the above said film. The beginning of the movie is interesting more dramatic. But the movie will make gripping engage in the second Half. Merits
